This Privacy Policy describes how Codenova ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses and discloses information when you use the Mergio mobile application ("App", "Game") on iOS and Android devices.

By downloading or using Mergio, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information when you use Mergio:

a) Information Collected Automatically

• Device Information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers (IDFA on iOS, Android ID).
• Usage Data: Game events (game start, game over, score, power-ups used, themes unlocked), screens viewed, session duration, crash reports and diagnostics.
• Advertising Data: Advertising identifiers (IDFA/GAID) used for serving personalised or non-personalised ads, subject to your consent preferences.

b) Information You Provide

• In-app purchase transaction details (processed by Apple / Google — we do not receive payment card information).
• Push notification permissions (opt-in only).

c) Information NOT Collected

• We do not collect your name, email address, or other personal contact details unless you contact us directly.
• We do not collect location data.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate and improve the App and its features.
• Understand player behaviour and optimise gameplay balance.
• Diagnose crashes and fix bugs via Firebase Crashlytics.
• Display relevant advertisements via Google AdMob, subject to your consent.
• Process in-app purchases and verify entitlements (e.g., Remove Ads).
• Send optional push notifications (daily reward reminders), only if you opt in.
• Comply with legal obligations.

3. Third-Party Services

Mergio uses the following third-party services that may collect data independently:

• Firebase Analytics (Google) — collects usage events and app usage statistics. Privacy Policy
• Firebase Crashlytics (Google) — collects crash reports and diagnostic data. Privacy Policy
• Google AdMob — serves ads. Advertising identifier usage depends on consent. Privacy Policy
• Google Play Services / Apple StoreKit — processes in-app purchases.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivers push notifications.
• Firebase Remote Config — delivers app configuration remotely.

4. Advertising & Consent (GDPR / ATT)

We use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request consent before displaying personalised ads to users in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, and Switzerland, in compliance with GDPR.

On iOS, we request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission before accessing your advertising identifier (IDFA). If you decline, only non-personalised ads are shown.

You can update your ad preferences at any time via your device settings:

• iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking
• Android: Settings > Google > Ads

5. In-App Purchases

Mergio offers optional in-app purchases (coin packs, Remove Ads). All payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not store or process your payment information. Purchase records are used solely to verify entitlements.

6. Data Storage & Retention

Game progress (coins, best score, purchased themes, settings) is stored locally on your device using encrypted storage (MMKV). This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

Analytics and crash data retained by Google Firebase is subject to Google's own retention policies. We retain analytics data for up to 14 months in Firebase.

7. Children's Privacy

Mergio is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us at contact@codenovatech.io and we will delete it.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion of your data.
• Withdraw consent for personalised advertising at any time.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (EU users).

9. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data. Local game data is stored in AES-256 encrypted storage on your device. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the effective date above or by in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
